Thankful Thursday

I am super excited. Tomorrow, I leave for 1 of the best weekends of the year.I will be scrapping from 1 pm tomorrow until 5 pm Sunday. With only a couple hours of sleep in between. I love this weekend, no rules, no kids, no husband, just me. I do not have to think about my life for the whole weekend and I really need that right now. I will not be able to scrap or anything for weeks after surgery so this is a good way to get some of it out of my system.
Sorry ladies, I will not name any names, but these ladies attend the same time I do. I posted this picture so you can see what is going on behind them. The space that is in the picture is about 1/4 of the hall that we are in and it is filled to the edges with scrapbooking women.

See doesn't that look like fun. HECK YEAH, I can't wait. I am getting all giddy just talking about it. I still have to finishing packing though. That is the tough part. I really have not gotten a lot done. I am kinda last minute when it comes to that.

I will take lots of pictures when I go and I probably will not post until I come back. Although I might when I am there, because I am taking my laptop. We will just have to see. Have a great Thursday and talk with you soon.

The Packing Begins.

So I started packing yesterday for March Madness next weekend and I always feel like I am going to forget something. This happens every time. I will get all the way there and then I have forgotten something sitting on my desk. Never fails happens every year. So I started packing a little earlier this time. I have made a dozen or so list and I think everyone has a little something different.

The problem, I have too much stuff, and I think I will use it all when I go. Most of the time I do not use half the stuff I tote out there. Oh yeah and since I have been working on cleaning things up in my craft area, now I have to take it all apart, then I have to do it all over again when I come home. What a vicious cycle I lay in front of myself. Here is a little of what I have been doing the past couple of days. I really do not want to pack everything up now or I will not be able to scrap all week.

What a mess........It never looks that bad until you look at the pictures. So most of my stuff that I am taking is packed up, minus a few......... things. I have to be able to work on something this week, or I will go crazy.
Set your goals high and you will achieve more. That is what I always think. I have set a goal to complete 26 scrap pages and 10 cards while I am away. I know that is high, but It could be any size page and card. So we will see. I will have to let you know how I fair on that goal. Until the next time.
Oh yeah, Thank you my followers. You don't understand how excited I get when I get a new follower. It is like finding a lucky quarter. All shinning and you don't want to spend it. Your blogs are beautiful and I appreciate you stopping by to check on little ol me.
Have a wonderful time crafting and talk with you soon.

Day off

So I took a day off for the first time in FOREVER. Really I had a couple of appointments this morning to get out of the way. And just so you know this surgery is really going to SUCK. In just a word.

So after I went to my appointments, I decided to stay home. First I had to make a quick stop my Hobby Lobby and Michaels to see what was new. And then came home and worked on a couple of things. I was able to walk around the store and not be concerned with time. That was really weird, but really cool all at the same time.

Here is a couple of pics of what I did today.

I have to start getting ready for March Madness next weekend. I can't wait. The problem is making sure that I have everything packed and don't forget anything. I am sure I will be working on something this weekend before I pack everything up. Until the next time. Scrap your heart out

Going Crazy

So, some of you know me personally and know that I am going through some medical issues. Well I was just thinking that after my surgery (still do not know when it will be). I will not be able to scrap for weeks...... Like 6-8. I am thinking this is going to really SUCK! So I was thinking that at March Madness I can get a ton done and set up a ton for when I am feeling better. I am getting a little nervous about the whole thing. I feel like I have been in a different world lately and really just wish I could quit my job and scrap all day every day. That sounds like fun.

I will not be able to type either. Oh heavens, what in the world am I going to do?!?!?!?!?!?!

Ok, nothing much more right now. I will post a couple of pics later of the stuff that I am working on now. My Garden pages.

Have a blessed day.

Made it through

So, I made it through another Monday. Last week I was not feeling well and I believe in part it was the medicine I was taking to make me feel BETTER. It was terrible, I was just not myself and that is not good.

This week after work, I plan on working on a couple more cards for my nieces and nephews. I also have to start packing up for March Madness. I want to make sure I am not missing anything. Last year when I went to fall frolic, I lost a mini power sort of pictures. That is almost 600 pictures, that I really am not sure what all was in there and I am not sure if I am able to replace all of them. I really wish it would just magically appear.

I would like to point out that I have a shopping problem. I think every week that I have to get something new. I have gotten a little better the past couple of weeks. OK, well maybe. This is one trip out, when I was not feeling well. 2 new stacks, 2 stamps (oh so cute), StazOn (Jet Black), watercolor pencils, more brads, and blending pens.
Last week I also received my Wild Card Cricut cartridge. I know that I really do not need some of these things, but I feel like I NEED them. You know what I mean. I am working on this and really I do plan on using all of my stuff that I buy. I was wondering, those of you that are newer to this or have used DCWV for card making, or folding in general, do you have a problem with it breaking?I have tried to not score it as much but just folding it still happens. I am working on finding the good paper and cardstock and might need a little help in finding the good stuff. I have a tendency to buy and then find out that I do not like it and it will stay in my pile oh crap.
Will show you the work later this week, when I get something new done. Until then, have a wonderful week and I can make it through another Tuesday.

This is what I have been working on today

So, I am a little slow at what I do. I think I have to have everything perfect. Don't know why, wish I could fix it but I can't. Before I decided to take a 5 hour NAP. I really have no idea how that happened. I was working on a couple of things.

So I have to learn to take better pictures of my work. I will. So here is one of the things that I have been working on. I am getting ready to do a little more. Till then we will see what happens.

Have a wonderful evening.
