Another "Sweet Day" with Echo Park

Another "Sweet Day" with Echo Park

Hi all, Mindy here. Yesterday I thought I had lost my mojo, but later in the day I guess I had found it.

I was able to start and complete a full layout using Echo Park, Sweet Day collection. I just love the way it turned out. And I was able to incorporate the Scrap Happy Round Banner Trio die, going from 2 of the hot air balloons. The base of the layout is using Scrap Happy Spearmint cardstock

I had hand cut all the hot air balloons, clouds, and the hexagon pattern from the 12 x 12 pages that come in the collection pack. The whole collection is just wonderful with all the whimsical colors and bright cheery feel.

Until the next time, make sure to stop by the store or check us out online. BlogOnline StoreFaceBookPinterest, and all the design team gals listed on the side bar. See you soon.

Blessings -

WOYWW or should I Say WOYWT

Here I go again, running late. It is better to be late than to never show up, right?

Yesterday, it was the Fourth of July and here in the US it is a very important holiday for us. SO I was celebrating with my family and friends the independence of our great country.

I have also been very busy the past week, helping my grandmother. So I have not been home working in my room like I normally would be. I miss my desk very much. There have however been a couple of evenings that I haven't fallen asleep too fast and I was able to work on an album for my sons graduation party.

Its a flip flap book and I hope he loves it. This one has the pictures from his graduation and I am going to make some boards up with through the years pictures of him. I noticed the other day that he does like looking at old pictures with me. He just doesn't like to admit it. Teenagers....

I miss him being at home already. OK, so this week along with getting ready for his party next week. I hope to get a couple of other things done and get them up and posted for you. Hope everyone has a wonderful week and weekend and I will talk with you soon.

Stand Out

One can always Stand Out in the crowd, especially if you use the Crate Paper Storyteller Stand Outs. One a layout that I completed using the We R Memory Keepers Lucky 8's, on the bottom left and the center of the layout I used the Crate Paper Storyteller, Stand Outs. They help give that added dimension in a nice subtle way.

With my card using the Lucky 8's again and Scrap Happy exclusive Banana Split cardstock I centered the flower with another Crate Paper Stand Out. It made of a nice touch.

When  I worked on my
next card and I used
some of the 6 x 6 Storyteller pad as the background papers behind the Stand Out to give the card a whole cohesiveness. I also edged the card and the cardstock pieces with  Scrap Happy exclusive  Jellybean Green Ink.

I was a busy bee, I tell ya.
With the next card. I used Scrap Happy Orange Fizz Cardstock for the base of the card and Crate Paper Storyteller 6 x 6 pad for the next layer. In the Storyteller collection there is a full sheet of cardstock embellishments and on this card I decided it was time to use them to the best of my ability. I also used the Stand Outs again in the top right corner and really enjoyed the way this card turned out.

The last two cards are not using the Stand Outs, but are both using the Crate Paper Storyteller line. I have used the Sew Ribbon on both. All products used on all these cards and

layouts can be found at Scrap Happy Ohio, online or in the store so make sure to get down there. Or up there. Stand Out from the crowd and shop local.

Scrap Happy can be found all over the internet and soon will be on Twitter too. Right now make sure to check them out on their online store , their blog , and Facebook.

Until the next time. Have a WONDERFUL week.

Blessing.

I received an AWARD

I received an AWARD

Danielle, from EcoScrapbook recently gave me the Liebster Blog Award (OMG,thank you, Danielle!) and now it's my turn to share some blog love'in.

If this award is new to you, it's basically a way to grow our crafting community and let others know about smaller bloggers with less than 200 followers. So here are the crafters I came up with, out of the hundreds I follow....

Susi - SillyShySushi -  Susi is AWESOME! I met her a couple of years ago, by chance on The Scrap Beach. For those of you that know that I am talking about there is a community site called the Scrap Beach. Anyhow. She was not certain how to do something on Blogger, I had made a comment and from there we have become pretty good friends. I would like to say hello and that I can not believe how far we have both come from that point.

Vanessa(Nessy) -  Nessy's Notes - I met Nessy online through her blog. I believe she was the first person to ever make a comment on my blog as  her's was one of the very first I started to follow. She has been a great source of inspiration and she is always there for a pick me up when I am down. Thank you for befriending me along the way.

Ginny - Bearcub's Scrap Room - Its funny the things you remember and the things that go by the way side. Ginny and I met on her blog. She was planning a project for her son that involved getting crafty friends from all of the 50 states to help. I offered to help from here in Ohio and our friendship bloomed from there. We keep in touch regularly and I am blessed to have met so many wonderful people.

Sian - One and Only Design - I have recently started to follow Sian. Her designs are wonderful and I just happened to come across her work on WOYWW. The biggest thing that has me in awe right now is the dress form that she made. Make sure to check out her stuff.

Rita - RMG Creations - Give her a container and she will turn it into something. I have been following Rita for a little bit now and have come to realize that she likes to alter or upcycle containers. What a fabulous way to keep recycling crafty. She too is another WOYWWer.

If you are not you definitely should follow along with What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday's WOYWW

If you chose to accept the award, the rules are as follows:

1. Thank the person who gave the award.
2. Link back to their blog.
3. Post the award onto your own blog.
4. Choose 5 new recipients with fewer than 200 followers.
5. Let each of them know about the award.

WOYWW #160 Better late than never

So I'm a little late this week, but like I always say. Better late than never right? I was down with a migraine ALL day yesterday and just couldn't pull myself to the computer to make a post. I should have just done it the night before, but we all know how that goes too.

Earlier this week I picked the reddest strawberry ever out of my garden and just had to show everyone. I couldn't get over how red it was.

And as the week went on I was again busy like always. I think I do more now that I am a stay at home mom, then I ever did as a out of the home working mother. And to top it off, I'm in much worse health now than I ever have been before.

She might kill me for this one, but Tuesday was my babies 15th birthday oh my word they just grow too fast.Happy Birthday Shelby Mae!

Ok, enough of that stuff. My desk.

I made this card for one of my Stamp Set a Day cards and the card below just happened afterward. Both cards were made using the Friendship Bouquet stamp set and Pemberly paper LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!

And then this one is using Stella paper and Always Remember stamp. Love this paper!

Now on to some design team items. I was still working with the Crate Paper Storyteller line and Scrap Happy Exclusive Orange Fizz card stock. I used the pop ups from that collection and will do another post regarding design team later today.

Now to my desk.... I was working last night on a couple of things. This card is the 6th card in the Stamp set a day. I used A Rainbow stamp set with Dotty for You paper LOVE IT! Can you tell I love paper? Along with the paper and stamp I used the Smoothie Mini Medley for the buttons and ribbon.

This pile off to the side is still yet more stuff I am working on. A couple of albums and more projects using Dotty for You paper!!

Sid started to doze off so I thought it was time to call it a night. Plus he was blocking my paper trimmer.

Oh yeah, one more thing. I did get this done earlier in the day on Tuesday and figured I will end up using it on something this week. Ok. That's it for now. Have a WONDERFUL Thursday. (should have been Wednesday)
