Hello all! I've always wondered how people can just talk like that even when they are not texting...
Even when they are texting, I still find myself typing out the full words. Okay enough with the silliness lets get down to business.
Yes, I've again been a little MIA. I wish I would just be able to stay more consist with my post. I'm working on that. I just happened to go back and look at a couple of my past post and have noticed that some of my pictures are not there. Don't know why or what happened to them, but I will try to get them replaced shortly.
I've again been a busy little bee. I've had the time now that I'm done with those invitations to spend some quality time with my sewing machine and iron. I'm in the process of making my first quilt and I can't wait to see how it turns out. I'm going with the disappearing 9 patch, as shown by Jenny of the Missouri Star Quilt Company.
Let me tell ya, she has given me the confidence to try almost anything right now. If you've never watched any of their tutorials you better get to it. THEY ARE AWESOME!!!
So I've always liked to sew but really have not learned enough to really complete anything other than some curtains here and some little odds and ends. But now I'm taking on the ultimate by learning to quilt. Really I thought it was going to be harder! If you can sew a straight line, you're pretty much there.
Here is my first block.
Now if only I can learn to do it a little quicker I'll be good. I know that it will all come in time.
For my paper crafting friends, don't worry I will still be doing that also and updating my blog. I hope to stay in the WOYWW. Even if that week I'm working on fabric crafts. They kinda work together. We can take cues from the fabric world and translate that into our paper crafting.
Well here is a sneak peek of what my blocks are starting out like. I will update more as I get more completed. Can't wait to show MSQC what I made and hopefully make it to their shop one day.
Well that is it for me today. I need to get busy stitching and pressing and watching more YouTube. Thanks MSQC for teaching me this wonderful relaxing craft.
Blessings
