What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday? #168

I can't believe I almost went another week without posting. Last week I just had so much going on, that I completely forgot what day it was. This week, I am about to do the same thing.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far. Since I have somehow lost my mojo and have been unable to locate it for a couple of days, I really have not done much.

I did however move my one Expression to my desk so it can be closer to me when I find my mojo and get my new Cricut Artiste cartridge.  You can see I have my big pop there to get me going and a ton of unfinished projects. But no mojo.

Well until I find my mojo or I actually get something completed. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and I will see you soon.

Make sure to stop by and visit the rest of the desk from around the world by starting over at Julia's.

Design Team - Bo Bunny - Mango Luau

So I was handed some paper that I would normally not work with and was stumped for a moment. And then I began to think..........SURFBOARD

But it couldn't be just any surfboard. It had to be a mini album. So I took the Silhouette and cut out a surfboard shape covered all the pages front and back with the Bo Bunny - Mango Luau and went from there. I decided it would look kinda cute as a sign so I used binder rings and my Big Shot to cut out the sign bracket and also covered that front and back with the card stock. I used the stickers from the collection and Scrap Happy Orange Fizz and Jellybean Green Inks and Cardstock throughout.

I inked all the edges and popped up the surfboards on this page. Behind that is a little mini book to pull out to add photos to, front and back.

The next page is tied with ribbon from the Sew Ribbon and I love how it matched up with the orange in the paper.

This too folds out to add more pictures to.

The last couple pages have stickers added and have more space to add pictures and journal.

Hope you enjoy this weeks project and get a chance to get to the store to try out all of the products used in this project and much more.

Would love a Boost

Hello everyone. Thanks so much for all the new followers. I just love seeing new faces around. I just wanted to make a quick post to give an update on my status.

Every now and then we all have goals we try to reach and there is one in particular I am ooh so close to reaching. With Close to My Heart, there is a program called Straight to the Top. It works like this:

 Straight To The Top Sales
Time Period*Sales RequiredReward
First Month$300$25 in select product credit**
First Three Months$1,200$75 in select product credit**
Three Month Totals$1,200$100 in select product credit**

The cool thing.... I met my first goal and I am only $189.50 away from my second goal. I am not normally one to ask for a boost or a little extra ump from any one, but wanted to make sure that everyone was aware that I am this close. If you need anything or have questions that I might be able to answer for you. Make sure to give me a call, go to my website, or visit me here on my blog and I will be more than willing to help.

I have until 8/16/2012 to reach my goal and any last minute help would be wonderful. Any purchases placed prior to 11:59 p.m. will be counted towards my goal and I am doing my best to get to it. Thank you for your help.

I also held a Stamping 101 class last night and that was very helpful to the student that showed up. I always say..... and it started with one. You can't get anywhere if there is not that first people. She even asked if she was able to bring someone to workshop next week... I am so excited to see new faces.

Well enough of me carrying on. I hope you all have a good day. I am on my way to a day long 48 cards workshop and can't wait to come home with 48 cards done in one day.

WOYWW 166 and a little news

Hello everyone, welcome to this weeks edition of WOYWW. If you start over at Julia's Stamping Ground, you will see that there are people from all around the world that get in on this wonderful trip. Won't you join us?

So this week I have not been very busy in the craft room, but I have been very busy. I will first start off by letting you know that I am trying to keep an even flow of craftiness and family time going over the next couple of weeks but at this point I am not certain how often I will get to post. My grandmother fell on Thursday of last week and broke her humerus bone in her arm, the bone between the elbow and shoulder. This has caused great stress and the need for a lot of family interaction since she is still in the hospital.

I have never asked for cards in the past, but would love if you felt the gumption to create a get well card, to do so. All cards can be sent to

Thank you, if you choice to help brighten her day. She is not doing so well and I think this would help brighten a darkened day.

Ok, now on this the cheery stuff. Since I haven't been able to be in my room to much in the past week, I have been trying to quickly get things done. This is the card that I made for design team.

Using American Crafts - Shoreline and Scrap Happy Cardstock. And then I wasn't quite done with playing with the Shoreline paper so I started to make a little brag book using Shoreline and more Scrap Happy cardstock.

And this is how my desk looks this morning. I have gotten some of my new stamps out to play with them and can't wait for others to be able to play with them too.

This double D set of stamps is the special running Aug 15 - Sept 30. For every $35 you spend....... it is ONLY $5!!!!! Can you believe that. I just can't get over it. I was so excited when I seen the wonderful stamps that I had to have it, and being a consultant I am so glad that I was able to get my crafty little hands on it before the 15th.

Well for now that is all I have. I will try and get more posted this week, but I have to try and get ready for a class that I am teaching on Friday. I also am going to grandmas house to clean and up to the hospital to visit. We really need more time in the day.

Blessings

Shoreline Design Team

Come sail away with me.

American Crafts Shoreline reminds me of days of summer. Relaxing in the sand, watching the sun set. With this card I was trying to get the feel of resting on the water in the middle of the ocean, with the sun high in the sky. Using Scrap Happy cardstock as my base and AC Shoreline as my background. I used the DIY Thickers and turquoise embossing powder from AC. All products used in making this card can be found at Scrap Happy Ohio, online and in the store. Make sure to stop by and check out all the new items from CHA too.

After making my card I was still wanting to play around with this adorable paper. So I grabbed another piece of Scrap Happy cardstock and started playing. This is just a little brag book made with cardstock and pieces of the 6 x 6 stack of Shoreline.

Make sure to check it all out at
